Ductbond High Velocity Duct Sealant

Ductbond is a high velocity duct sealant, tested to ASTM G-21, with a rating = 0 (no fungal growth on surface).
Water based for personal and environmental safety. Resistant to fire, oxidation, cracking, moisture and water. Creates a permanent flexible seal and is suitable for high, medium or low pressure applications. Ductbond is a neutral metallic grey colour and is quick and easy to clean-up. Quality non-flammable water based, high velocity duct sealant seals joints and openings in galvanized steel, aluminum, and other metal ductwork. Sets up quickly and forms a strong, permanently flexible, air-tight seal. Brush grade grey metallic, emulsion based duct sealant is easily applied and suitable for all high, medium and low pressure air handling systems.

This UL listed duct sealant is tested to ASTM E84 and meets NFPA 90A and 90B 25/50 requirements. UV rated, fire resistant, water based, non toxic VOC rated and inhibits mold and mildew growth.

Application
All surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dirt, oil or grease prior to application. For best results use fiberglass duct scrim tape. Apply duct sealant with brush, trowel, or caulking gun (extrusion). Do not apply sealant in temperatures below 4°C (40°F). Keep from freezing. Store in a cool, dry and well ventilated area.
Fungal Growth Resistance: (ASTM G 21) Rating=0, no fungal growth on surface
Wet Flammability: Flash point (closed cup), no flash to boiling. ASTM D 3828.
Drying Time: To touch 1 hour, dry through 16 hours, at 23°C (73°F) 50% RH ASTM D1640.
Clean-up: Wash tools in warm soapy water
Air Pressure Resistance: Pressure withstood: 10” WG (2500 PA). Dry time 24 hours.
Service Temperature Range: -7°C (20°F) to 93°C (200°F).
Certified: Ductbond High Velocity Sealant is UL listed and meets NFPA Standards 90-A and 90-B 25/50 requirements. This product is tested in accordance to ASTM E-84 (Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials).
